The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP)
The Autoimmune Protocol is a temporary eating plan that involves eliminating and reintroducing foods to determine triggers. Coffee, oils, alcohol, wheat, dairy, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds, nightshade vegetables, refined sugars, tobacco, and other foods are frequently eliminated. Fresh fruit, organic meat and seafood, fermented meals, and bone broth are the focus during this period (which normally lasts 1 to 3 months). Following the elimination phase, foods are gently and deliberately reintroduced, usually, one at a time, with any reactions noted.
